Julian Velard

People’s Place is proud to present Julian Velard, a singer/songwriter whose theatrical, piano-based pop will be coming to our venue this October.

With a style The Sunday Times calls “catchy but complicated; a surprisingly rare combination,” Velard has taken his talent for penning upbeat, melodic tunes with ulterior themes and achieved great success across the US and Europe.

For his latest album, If You Don’t Like It, You Can Leave, Velard returned to New York City and recorded an album, across five boroughs, in which he attempts to reconcile his love for New York’s past with his sensibilities for its present.

Support act: Jerusa

Jerusa is an up and coming indie-pop musician from Amsterdam whose music has propelled her to opening acts for artists such as Racoon, Milow, Rhodes and Jaimi Faulkner.
